Aleksei Archer is a versatile and lively American actress. Her birthplace is New York. Television stars will be celebrating their birthdays this August 14. The beginning of her career as a television professional in 2007 helped her to survive 14 years in the industry. However, at just one day old, she relocated from St. Louis to New York City. In 1991, she received a bachelor's in art at Barnard College. The same year, she was hired as an entry-level employee at a restaurant called An American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli began her food experiences while watching recipes she'd written in her mother's cookbooks getting tested at home. Her culinary experience began when she observed her mom test recipes at home while editing cookbooks. Guarnaschelli was later appointed executive chef at Butter. Guarnaschelli was a guest on Food Network's Iron Chef America where she faced Cat Cora in the Farmers Market Battle of 2007. In 2011, she was a contestant in the third place of the season up in The Next Iron Chef, and has been on the panel for the show since. She competed and lost in an episode of the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. Her position was upgraded to sous chef to Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the 4th season of The Next Iron Chef. In 2008 she became the host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli in which she instructs a small group of students instructing them on how to reinvent classic dishes.
